We not only enjoy racing within Gran Turismo, but we also enjoy talking about our passion of racing. Be it sim racing or the real world of racing, we share it all.
How to join
Once you are in our Discord, type !Join in the welcome channel and that will let someone know that you are interested. Someone will be with you as soon as they can. (It doesn't take too long.)
Schedule
Week 1: Qualifying by Time Trial to evaluate the top NA & EU drivers. Number of divisions depends on the final amount of sign-ups.
Week 2,3,4, 5 and 6: 5 race-weeks, complete race calendar for all divisions will be provided the week before the first race starts.
NA Division 1: Races on Mondays @ 9 PM EST
NA Division 2: Races on Tuesdays @ 9 PM EST
NA Division 3: Races on Wednesdays @ 9 PM EST
EU Division 1: Races on Mondays @ 8 PM GMT/BST
EU Division 2: Races on Tuesdays @ 8 PM GMT/BST
EU Division 3: Races on Wednesdays @ 8 PM GMT/BST
There is a qualifying session and 2 races per event
Qualifying Settings
Qualifying Length: 15 minutes
Tire wear and Fuel consumption will be turned off for qualifying
Race Settings
Sprint Race:
Grid position based on qualifying
Approximately 15 minutes in length
Fuel and tyres will last the length of the sprint race
1 tyre compound will be available
Feature Race:
Position based on previous result with a random number of the top places reversed. Number of positions (between 4 and half the total grid size) is decided by a random number generator just before setting the grid.
Approximately 40 minute in length
Fuel and tyre settings will be the same as the Sprint Race
Refuelling set to 5ltrs per second
Four tyre compounds (e.g. RS, RM, Inters & Wets) are available during the race with a requirement for each driver to complete one full racing lap on two different compounds.
Weather
All races will feature dynamic weather and conditions
Custom weather will be set for each race
All sprint races will be dry
Two feature races per season will have an 80% chance of rain
Tuning
Tuning may be allowed or prohibited, check the current race calendar for all information.
If you need help researching a tune for your car, feel free to ask in the Discord and someone will be happy to help.
Car selection
Car selection for the various divisions will be outlined in the GTSRL Race Calendar (https://goo.gl/RoPmVc). You must use the same car that you set your fastest qualifying time in for both races in a single race night. However, you are allowed to change to a different car for the next race night, you do not have to use the same car for the whole season.
How do I get into the racing?
There are three ways
Sign up for a season and complete a Time Trial (these happen every six or seven weeks)
Join a community event (in upcoming-events)
By joining our Clean and Casual lobbies (you'll be notified when these open)
Type !Join in the welcome channel and someone will be along shortly to give you the Member role
